Everyone at Rodinia has their part and purpose; you aren't just a face in the crowd, or someone passing by at the office. You get the chance to bring your own valuable skill set to the team, and it feels like what you do matters. The time, effort, and energy you put into your work is actually noticed and appreciated.
The environment not only allows you immense freedom to work how you work best, but it also provides you with the support and tools needed to grow. Learning is as much a part of work as utilizing the knowledge you already have, and that's a perk that most workplaces can't offer. Being encouraged to try myself before asking questions has opened up so many more doors allowing me to find fields of interest that I had no idea even existed.

There is competitive pay and a flexible schedule which allows me to work when I am most productive (within reason of course). The people I work with are awesome, and the atmosphere here is relaxed and I really feel like I am making a big contribution to the team. I get that feeling of ownership on the projects that I have worked on and if I am stuck trying to find a path forward everyone is more than willing to take time to bounce ideas back and forth to formulate a general plan of action. Matt really cares for his people and provides support and encouragement. He truly wants everyone to not only enjoy what they do but also enjoy where they work. I feel challenged in the workplace, there is always something new right around the corner to be excited about. I enjoy the opportunity to branch out and learn new skills. I am not only treated with respect but really feel like I am part of the team, I am even given that little bit of encouragement right when it is needed.
