Business Development Manager

Rodinia Solutions, a premier product design and services firm, is looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to become a member of our fast-growing team. Job Summary

Our Business Development Managers support the company by finding and procuring leads and sales opportunities to support our engineering services. You will be responsible for selling these services. The sales cycle starts with cold calling, setting up meetings, and ultimately writing winning proposals and estimates with the help of our senior team. It closes when the client picks Rodinia. Typical sales cycle is 3-6-months from initial contact to close.  Our projects are typically a mix of mid-size companies and government work.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop opportunities and meet mutually agreed upon sales goals/targets
  • Identify potential client opportunities through research and networking.
  • Reach out by phone to current and prospective clients to engage and excite them about our range of services.
  • Schedule potential client appointments with senior management.
  • Maintain customer information in sales database.
  • Maintain communication with accounts.
  • Collaborate with management on appropriate sales targets.

Required Skills

  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated individual, able to work with minimum direct supervision.
  • Fast learner who is curious and pursues learning to achieve a deep understanding of the technical aspects of our services.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ work experience ideally in consultancy sales.
  • Customer facing experience and skills
  • Comfortable making presentations and speaking to an audience
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Team player
  • Salesforce (or equivalent) experience a plus
  • Systems and/or engineering experience a plus.
  • Government sales experience a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
